Tips for RECKruitment

Written Application

The 2024 Ramblin’ Reck Club application can be found here. A completed written application must be submitted no later than Wednesday, January 31st at 11:59pm.

Information Sessions (Recommended)

For anyone interested in learning more about Ramblin’ Reck Club, what we are involved in on campus, opportunities within the Club, and the recruitment process, we will be hosting information sessions before the application deadline closes. Pizza will be provided, so feel free to stop in and introduce yourself and get the low-down on all things RRC during the session. It is highly encouraged to attend one of these sessions to help you understand what this club is about, but if you cannot attend, this information will be provided after the meetings.

RRC “Get To Know You” Events (Mandatory)

In order to provide applicants a casual setting to interact with Reck Clubbers and get a better feel for the kind of spirit Reck Club has for Georgia Tech, all applicants must attend one of the following Get To Know You events. Please note that applicants need only attend one of the following events in order to satisfy the recruitment requirements. Make sure to check in when you arrive, you do not need to stay for the entire event duration.

First Social (Invite Only)

Attending this social is your chance as an applicant to meet Reck Clubbers, get a feel for what Ramblin’ Reck Club is all about, ask any questions you may have about the Club or getting involved, and most importantly, sign up for an interview time. No need to stress about this event; be yourself and talk to anyone you do not already know! This event will be on the evening of Monday, February 5th at The Alumni House.

There are two time slots for the firt social: 7:00PM - 8:15PM and 8:45PM - 10:00PM . Once you submit the written application, you will receive an email instructing you to fill out your availability. An invitation to one of the two time slots based on reported availability will be sent out after the application period has ended!

Interviews (Invite Only)

The interview portion of RECKruitment is designed to allow for Reck Clubbers to get to know applicants on a more personal basis. We just want to give each applicant the time to express their ideas, commitment, and personality. The interview portion consists of an individual interview and a group interview. Interviewees will sign up for an interview time slot during check-in at the first social. All interview time slots will be between 6:00pm and 10:00pm on February 6th, 7th, and 8th. Interviews will be conducted in the Center for Student Engagement.

Second Social (Invite Only)

After all interviews have been conducted, applicants will be notified whether they will advance to the second round of RECKruitment. During this second round, applicants will attend a mandatory second social held from 1:00PM - 3:30PM on Saturday, February 10th. Further details for this event will be sent out to those invited applicants only.

Any time conflicts with these events should be brought to the attention of Eleanor Froula, Ramblin’ Reck Club Recruitment Chair, no later than Wednesday, January 31st.

We wish you the best of luck during this recruitment process, and we look forward to meeting you soon. Thank you for considering joining the Ramblin’ Reck Club!
