Ramblin’ Reck Club is an organization committed to the preservation of traditions, the promotion of spirit on Georgia Tech’s campus, and the maintenance and care of the Ramblin’ Reck. We take great pride in being the sole caretakers of the beloved 1930 Ford Model A Sports Coupe, Tech’s one-of-a-kind mechanical mascot. In fact, the one student bestowed with the honor of driving the Reck for a year is elected within the ranks of Ramblin’ Reck Club. Some of our other responsibilities include inciting enthusiasm for Yellow Jacket athletics in the student body; maintaining long-standing campus traditions such as the T-Book, T-Night, and Homecoming events like Mini 500, Freshman Cake Race, and Wreck Parade; and engaging in new campus traditions and spirit opportunities.

All Ramblin’ Reck Club members are expected to attend weekly Monday evening meetings in addition to all home football games. Every member is also expected to dedicate additional time to the club through committee membership and social functions. Club membership is limited to 50 people, and as a result, we become a tight-knit circle of friends in addition to serving our organizational role. In Ramblin’ Reck Club, we balance work with fun: many members choose to take part in social activities together, such as Semi-Formal, Braves home-opener game, bowling nights, road trips to athletic events outside of Atlanta, and more!

Ramblin’ Reck Club’s recruitment process occurs every Spring semester. 2018 RECKruitment is about to begin. Applications will be open on December 29, and we hope you will consider applying.
